Kaufman County to hold Homestead Day

ashlee@themonitor.net During the March 19 session of commissioners court an action was approved for the first Homestead Day to be held Saturday April 20 at the Kaufman County Poor Farm. Homestead Day is an opportunity to gather together and teach the public about anything that has to do with homesteading, farming, and gardening.

A man was hit and killed on Interstate 20 in Terrell in the early morning hours of Sunday, March 17. The Terrell Police Department received two calls from concerned motorists driving roadway.

Terrell Fire Department takes delivery of Freeway Blocking Equipment

City of Terrell Public Information Officer The City of Terrell received a 2021 North Central Texas Council of Government Incident Management – Freeway Blocking Equipment Grant. This grant was awarded for the purchase of a new Truck Mounted Attenuator Unit that will be utilized to protect first responders as they work incidents on roadways.
