Broadstreet Bank hosted their groundbreaking in Terrell on May 15 at 769 American Way. As part of its long-term growth strategy, the company that has made East Texas its home for 92 years has initiated expansion into the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) metroplex.

Terrell ISD has announced the Class of 2026 Senior procession and sunset for Wednesday, May 27. The procession will begin at 6 p.m.

Mayor Rick Carmona and Terrell Council Member Jorge Vargas welcomed Run for the Wall riders making their annual fuel stop at Brookshire’s in Terrell on Sunday, May 17. The Terrell Chamber of Commerce, Terrell Fire Department, Chub’s Towing and all the veterans’ groups participated in the event. Terrell High School freshman Addie Johnston of Terrell High School Choir also sang the National Anthem.

Kaufman County Grand Jury returned 38 indictments May 8. Indictment information obtained from the District Clerk’s office does not include ages or addresses of defendants.

The City of Terrell announced that construction on the new Breezy Hill splash pad began Tuesday, May 11. The new community amenity is slated to open later this summer according to the City of Terrell.

1943-2026 James Arthur Marsh, 82, of Poetry, a distinguished leader, devoted family man, and passionate collector of fossils, went to his heavenly home on May 8, 2026, in Waco. Born on August 10, 1943, in Corpus Christi, James lived a life marked by commitment, strength, and compassion.
