Terrell PD hold Police Week Memorial Ceremony

Terrell Police Department held its National Police Week Ceremony on the morning of May 14 to remember the law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Law enforcement officers stood alongside members of the community, fellow first responders, elected officials and the families of those that were lost as they reflected on the meaning of service, sacrifice and remembrance. During the ceremony, they recognized the lives and legacies of fallen officers through the reading of names and end of watch, wreath placement and a moment of silence. The Terrell Chamber of Commerce, Terrell Fire Department, Chub’s Towing and all the veterans’ groups participated in the event. Terrell High School freshman Addie Johnston of Terrell High School Choir also sang the National Anthem.
