City launches water meter replacement program

ALISON WALKER Public Information Officer – City of Terrell The City of Terrell is proud to launch Terrell H2O, a water meter replacement program that will offer utility customers proactive service alerts and tools for cost control and convenience. The two-phase meter replacement program for all residences and businesses has begun and will continue through the spring of 2023.

Residents urged to report storm damage

STAFF REPORTS The Office of Emergency Management urges residents who suffered property damage because of flooding are strongly urged to report damages, along with images and video, to the Texas Division of Emergency Management’s (TDEM) website. “This is a very urgent matter,” said Steve Howie, Kaufman County Emergen- cy Management Coordinator.

Fivecoat appointed to TISD Board

At a special called meeting on Monday, August 22, the Terrell ISD Board of Trustees appointed Ashley Carmona Fivecoat as the new Trustee for Place 5. Fivecoat replaces Channy Ory, who announced her resignation earlier this year. The Board of Trustees accepted letters of interest for the open seat earlier in the year and three candidates were interviewed and considered for the position. Ms. Fivecoat graduated from Terrell High School in 1997 and attended Texas A&M University where she received her bachelor’s degree in journalism.
