Christmas Parade set for Dec. 9

This year’s Stanley Ballard Sr. Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 10 a.m. We would like to encourage schools, churches and businesses to participate in this year’s parade. This year’s parade theme is “Merry Christmas Through the Years.”

Rotary Club tours Jake E’s Riding Round Up

Members of the Rotary Club of Terrell had the opportunity to tour Jake E’s Riding Round Up in Kaufman. Jake E’s is a non-profit equine assisted healing center, serving veterans, at-risk youth, those struggling with substance abuse and children and adults with special abilities. New exhibit on display at BFTS Museum

A new, mini-exhibit is now on view in Gallery Three of the No. 1 British Flying Training School Museum that documents the career of former RAF Cadet Jeffery Gerald Heard, thanks to the generosity of his daughter, Jenny Covey of Litchfield, Staffordshire, Great Britain. The exhibit, which was organized and assembled by BFTS volunteer George Couzens will be on display through April 2024.

Terrell Chess Club hosted their Page Turners program at the Riter C. Hulsey Public Library Nov. 27. Adults can practice the basics, learn cool techniques and make some friends along the way. Meetings are every month and materials are provided.
