Kaufman County Commissioner, Precinct 3, Terry Barber was among 17 Texas county judges and commissioners who completed the first phase of the Commissioners Court Leadership Academy in Austin hosted by the V.G. Young Institute of County Government.

The Terrell chapter of Rotary Club kept busy throughout the month of April, hearing presentations from numerous speakers during their weekly meetings including: Dana Skelton of Terrell ISD speaking about the E! Terrell programs; Debbie Morris of US Health Advisors speaking about different types of health insurance policies and why they are important to our overall health and finances; Suzanne Duval of FASTT Homes speaking about different types of care homes for your elderly loved ones; and Della Coleman and Jodi Schleter, of Terrell ISD, the Assistant Principal and Principal of W.H. Burnett Early Childhood School, speaking about the programs offered for young students, enrollment and a look at the upcoming school year. North Texas Antique Tractor Show set for June 10-11

The North Texas Antique Tractor and Engine Club’s Show, Pull and Swap meet will be held Saturday and Sunday June 10th and 11th at Ben Gill Park in Terrell. The show hours are Saturday, June 11 – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday – 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Run for the Wall to stop in Terrell May 21

Run for the Wall, an annual motorcycle ride promoting military veterans and honoring service members, will make a pit stop for fuel and food at Brookshire’s in Terrell (located at 1400 W. Moore Ave.) at 8:30 a.m. May 21.

Once again as part of Terrell Jubilee, we hosted the Outlaw BBQ Association State Championship BBQ Cook-Off. Competitors could compete in Pit or Local Divisions.
