First Presbyterian Church to host seminar

Body The First Presbyterian Church, located at 834 Griffith Avenue, will be hosting a relationship seminar July 23 from 1-2 p.m. with Rev. Daniel Gowan, LPC. Gowan is the cofounder of D2 Counseling in North Dallas and Plano.

Gas prices continue to decrease around Texas

Body Average gasoline prices in Texas have fallen 17.7 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $4.20/g July 11, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 13,114 stations in Texas. Prices in Texas are 45.0 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand $1.36/g higher than a year ago.

Body July 16: United Church of God in Christ will be hosting its annual Vacation Bible School event from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at 901 South Hattie. The event is free and all children in attendance will receive a bag of school supplies (while supplies last).

Body Members of the Kiwanis Club of Terrell continued what has become a longstanding local tradition this week, serving up sliced watermelon at Terrell State Hospital July 12. Kiwanis Club members stated, “This is an annual event that has been taking place for more than 50 years.
