This selfless sacrifice is what makes every veteran a hero. In addition, when asked why they did it, many will answer simply by saying, “Because it was the right thing to do!”

Polk to head up Colorado ISD

The search for a new Terrell ISD Assistant Superintendent of Student Family and Community Services is officially on after word recently broke that Larry Polk would be taking the reigns as the new Superintendent of Schools for Colorado ISD.

The Terrell Dentist collected 269 lbs. of food for The Center during their November Food Drive event. The Center, which was founded in 2005, is dedicated to producing a self-sufficient community that affirms the values of each individual, builds healthy relationships with others and creates meaningful connections that develop our God-given abilities and talents. In addition to the donation of food, The Terrell Dentist also presented a $500 check to The Center. Dec. 11: Annual Stanley Ballard Sr. Christmas Parade. 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Parade starts at Moore Avenue and Ninth Street. Immediately following the parade, the downtown area will become a winter wonderland for the Holly Jolly Downtown Party. The event will include a visit by Santa, activities for children and more.

The Social Science Club of Terrell has announced that members are currently selling A Taste of Terrell cookbook as a 2021 fundraiser. Cookbooks are $35 each and can be purchased through any Social Science Club member directly, or through Angie at the Terrell Chamber of Commerce offices.
