Terrell Independent School District officials received a dose of good news from the Texas Education Agency last week, receiving an “A” rating for “Superior Achievement” under Texas’ financial accountability rating system.

CEDAR CREEK LAKE–Its back to school time! This year, schools may see an increase of students learning on campus which means disinfecting and cleaning will be a big part of every district’s return plan. The increase in use of these products can put students, especially young children at risk for accidental poisonings.

The North Texas Longhorns track program hit the road last weekend, following up a successful run at the Regional Meet with an appearance at State. The Longhorns more than held their own competing against the best athletes in the state of Texas, finishing the event with five gold medals, three silver medals and four bronze medals.

The Kaufman County A&M Club awarded $50,000 in scholarships on July 31 to area Aggies attending the College Station campus in the fall, along with $4,400 awarded by the Kaufman County A&M Mothers’ Club.
