Body On July 18, Terrell had the privilege of welcoming The Ability Experience Journey of Hope, which consists of a terrific group of young men who are cycling coast to coast to raise money and awareness for those with disabilities.

Body There won’t be a shortage of candy, fun and frights this Halloween in Terrell America. The annual downtown trick-or-treat will take place on Friday, October 29 from 5:00 - 7:30 PM, during which downtown businesses will pass out candy to children.

Body For the fourth consecutive year, the Commissioners’ Court voted to lower the property tax rate and approved the 2021-‘22 Fiscal Year Budget at their regular meeting on Tuesday, August 24, 2021. The tax rate was lowered by 8.67 percent from .504957 to .461171 per $100 valuation.

Body The Fifth District Court of Appeals has ruled in favor of the city of Terrell, affirming their right to proceed with entryway protection during this high growth time.

Body Traffic along Interstate 20 just west of Farm-to-Market 429 was brought to a halt Aug. 28 following a three-vehicle accident that ultimately resulted in multiple people being airlifted from the scene.

Body On August 10, 2021 at approximately 4.51 p.m. an unidentified white male committed a theft at 701 W. Moore Ave. This subject appears to be in his late 20s to mid 30s, has a heavy build and full beard. The subject also has a distinct tattoo on the back of his upper left arm.

Body The Terrell City Council gave unanimous approval to a senior tax freeze at its Aug. 31 meeting at Terrell Police Headquarters.

Body This past week while at camp with my friend Jeff Rice filming a segment for our weekly video titled “A Sportsman’s Life”, I spent some time preparing over the campfire a couple of dishes that have become staples over the years; fajitas and a modified method of blackened fish.
