Terrell was honored once again to be a fuel stop for the 35th Annual Run for the Wall. Terrell ISD, Terrell Chamber of Commerce, the Young Marines and Veterans groups took part in a short ceremony that concluded with the presentation of a Mayoral proclamation and a prayer by Council member Donna Renee Anderson on Sunday, May 18. Run For The Wall is an organized cross-country motorcycle ride to honor veterans, their families and friends and to raise awareness of those still missing – Prisoners of War (POW) and Missing in Action (MIA).

The Class of 2025 pulled the best prank on Superintendent, Dr. Georgeanne Warnock! As she left for work early May 20, dozens of seniors were on her front lawn to surprise her with blow horns and confetti! To say she was surprised was an understatement!

Rick Carmona begins third term as mayor

Rick Carmona was offi cially sworn in for his third and final term as mayor of the City of Terrell during their regular city council meeting on Tuesday, May 13. “I’m honored to serve my third and fi nal term as mayor of the City of Terrell,” Carmona began. “I really appreciate all the support that the community has given me and my family.” Mayor Carmona then presented a proclamation to Terrell Police Chief Arley Sansom and offi cers from the Terrell Police Department for National Police Week for the week of May 1-17.
