Storm debris site opens in Terrell

editor@terrelltribune.com In the aftermath of the May 28 storms, the City of Terrell contracted with a new debris removal service to help finalize clearing the affected areas. To ensure efficient and timely collection of the last remaining storm debris, the City of Terrell asks that all residents place their remaining storm debris in their yard as close as possible to the curb.

These wells, often left unattended, pose significant safety hazards and can contribute to groundwater pollution, making it crucial for hunters to report any such findings to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).

On hand to celebrate and speak at the groundbreaking ceremony for the new facility at Terrell State Hospital were Terrell State Hospital Superintendent Dr. Mark Messer, Associate Commissioner of State Hospitals Kristy Carr, Deputy Executive Commissioner of Health and Special Care System Scott Schalchlin, Terrell Mayor Rick Carmona, State Senator District 2 Bob Hall and State Representative District 4 Keith Bell. Members of the Terrell City Council, City Staff, Terrell Chamber of Commerce, Terrell State Hospital Staff and many others attended the ceremony.
