The Terrell Lady Tigers had their hands full last week, playing host to the North Mesquite Stallions Sept. 2 in a tune-up match before the start of district play Sept.

DAVID KAPITAN The Iris Stage at Books and Crannies in downtown Terrell is set to come alive Sept. 9-18 as The Vagabond Players stage “Farce of Habit”, a comedic play written by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten.

Terrell players and coaches knew that they would have their hands full entering last season, taking on a schedule that included three of the top 4A programs in the state during district as well as two 5A schools during non-district play.

The Terrell Lady Tigers find themselves poised for a breakthrough in 2022, returning multiple key contributors from a team that has been put through the ringer each of the past two seasons.

The Terrell cross country program etched its name into the record books last season, finishing the year with the varsity boys program qualifying to compete at Regionals for the first time in school history.

The North Texas Longhorns Summer Track Club of Terrell made its way to Burleson recently, squaring off against some of the top athletes from across the state for an opportunity to advance to the AAU Junior Olympics in North Carolina at the AAU Regional Meet.
