Raiders rally past Tigers, 6-4

The Terrell Tigers wrapped up their season series with Sunnyvale last week, watching their late rally come up short in a 6-4 setback to the Raiders. Sunnyvale got the better of Terrell throughout the early stages of the contest, scoring a run in the first and one in the fourth to take a 2-0 lead.

Lady Tigers suffer first district setback

The Terrell Lady Tigers have been a team on a mission during district play, entering last week with a 3-0 mark following wins over Caddo Mills, Kaufman and Nevada Community. Terrell would continue to play well last week, outdueling Quinlan Ford in an extra inning thriller before falling short against district-leading Farmersville March 29.

Track competes at Garland Relays

The Terrell track and field program faced one of its stiffest tests of the season last week, traveling to compete at the Garland Relays March 24. Terrell would go on to finish 14 th overall out of qualifying teams in the men’s varsity division in a field that also included Naaman Forest, Mesquite Horn, Highland Park, West Mesquite, North Mesquite and others.

Tigers continue District 13-4A play

The Terrell Tigers continued their push for a spot in this year’s 4A UIL Playoffs last week, hitting the field twice in key District 13-4A showdowns against Nevada Community and Sunnyvale. Terrell would ultimately drop both contests, watching their overall district mark drop to 0-5 with seven games left to play.

Season ends for soccer programs

The Terrell Lady Tiger soccer program entered the playoffs riding high, having gone 13-1-1 over the season’s final 15 games. That closing flourish was enough to give the Lady Tigers their first-ever district title in a loaded field that also included Mabank, Kaufman, A+ Academy, Sunnyvale, Ferris, Kemp and Athens.

Blasius no-hits Chapel Hill in 12-2 win

The Terrell Tigers got their first taste of District 13-4A play last week, squaring off twice against the rival Kaufman Lions before returning to non-district play for a game against Tyler Chapel Hill.

Track programs compete at Pirate Relays

Terrell track and field athletes competed in their final meet before spring break last week, traveling to Crandall to square off against five other programs at the annual Pirate Relays March 10. Terrell finished third overall in t he varsity boys division with 96 total points, behind Crandall with 190 points and Kaufman with 136 points, and ahead of Ennis with 87 points, Princeton with 54 points and Dallas White with 41 points.

Lifters face off at Regional Meets

Terrell powerlifters squared off against the area’s best in recent weeks as Lady Tiger lifters competed at the Class 4A Region 3 Division II Meet in Mabank March 4 and Tiger lifters competed in their Regional Meet at Arp March 11.

Tigers earn split in tournament play

The Terrell Tiger baseball program kept plenty busy prior to the start of spring break, hitting the field four times over a two-day span during tournament play March 10-11. Terrell would go 2-2 overall as they continued to inch their way closer to the start of district play.

Tigerettes shine at DFW Championship Contest

The Terrell Tigerettes Varsity, Varsity Elite and JV Tigerettes recently traveled to Dallas to compete at the annual American Dance and Drill DFW Championship Contest. All three teams put together impressive performances, bringing home numerous awards and trophies including:
