Body Jan. 17: MLK Celebration of Terrell, Inc. will be hosting a free program honoring Dr. King beginning at 6 p.m. at the Jamie Foxx Performing Arts Center. The program will include music, recitations, praise dancing and community service awards. All are welcome to attend.

Officials shift COVID-19 plans

Body Local health and safety leaders were forced to call an audible to their plans for a fast and free local COVID-19 testing site due to overwhelming demand and traffic. Initial plans had called for a free local testing site to be established at the Shops in Terrell from 9 a.m.

Museum presents free program on preserving family heirlooms

Body Preserving Family Heirlooms is the topic for the first in a series of informative and educational programs begun by the No. 1 British Flying Training School, 119 Silent Wings Blvd, Terrell. Scheduled for Jan. 20 at 7 pm, the programs are free and open to the public.

Forfeiture funds donated to Advocacy Center

Body The Kaufman County Precinct 2 Constable’s Office donated forfeiture funds in the amount of $3,144 to the Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) during the January 11 Commissioners’ Court meeting. “As a leader, we must be diligent to provide the best for our county,” said Pct.
