The Vagabond Players present The Curious Savage

editor@terrelltribune.com Books and Crannies, along with the Vagabond Players, will be putting on their production of The Curious Savage by John Patrick. The play, written in 1950, will take you on a journey with some very interesting characters who manage to cause havoc and learn some things along the way.

Kaufman County hears audit report

During the July 8 Kaufman County Commissioners Court session, commissioners accepted an independent audit report from Pattillo, Brown and Hill, LLP., presented by Audit Supervisor Travis Rogers. Rogers told the court that the firm offered an unmodified or clean opinion of the fiscal year 2024 audit. Rogers also informed the court that $14.5 million was currently in the general fund and is deemed undesignated or unassigned as it is not marked for specific spending. The county had $81 million in total expenditures during the fiscal year and currently has two and half months of reserve funds in their accounts.

One person in critical condition in wreck that killed five

editor@terrelltribune.com One person is still in critical condition after a wreck that killed five people just outside Terrell on Interstate 20 on June 28. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Alexis Gonzalez-Companioni fell asleep at the wheel, causing his semitruck to plow into stopped traffic on the highway, causing a chain reaction.

Council hears May and June good news report

editor@terrelltribune.com Terrell City Council members heard the good news report for the months of May and June during the July 1 regular meeting. The council heard about the Terrell Taco Festival, which took place in early May and saw a large crowd of 4,200 people.
