Anthony Jaure of Terrell, a member of the Sigma Beta Delta honor society, attended the annual Honors Convocation conducted on May 7 at Centenary College. Centenary College of Louisiana is a selective, residential, national liberal arts college affiliated with the United Methodist Church.

Jake Wilson bass tourney draws 48 boats

The 4th Annual Jake Wilson Memorial Bass Tournament was held on Saturday, May 1 at the Minnow Bucket Marina on Lake Fork. We had a total of 48 boats trying for the 10 prizes and trying to catch the biggest bass for $500.

TISD staff to receive pandemic bonuses

For going “above and beyond” during the COVID-19 pandemic, employees of the Terrell ISD will be awarded a bonus of between $300 and $1,000, the school board decided Monday night. The one-time, supplemental payment will have a roughly $360,000 impact on the district’s budget, according to Tonya Tillman, the TISD’s deputy superintendent for business and operations.
